Terms of Service
Last updated: February 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Credit Defender ("the Service"), operated at yourcreditdefender.com and via the Credit Defender mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Credit Defender is a credit education platform — not a credit repair service. We provide self-service tools and educational resources that help consumers understand and exercise their rights under federal consumer protection laws. The Service provides:
- Access to a database of 333+ federal law sections across 19 law families
- Dispute letter templates and generation tools
- Physical certified mail delivery via USPS
- Dispute tracking with deadlines and status updates
- Educational resources about consumer credit rights
- Credit score estimation and dispute analysis tools
3. Credit Education — Not Credit Repair
Important Disclaimer
Credit Defender is a credit education platform. We are not a credit repair organization as defined under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), and we are not a law firm. We do not perform credit repair services on your behalf and do not provide legal advice.
The Service provides educational tools, federal law references, and letter templates to help you understand your consumer rights and take self-directed action. Any actions you take using the Service — including sending dispute letters — are taken by you, on your own behalf, as an informed consumer exercising your rights under laws such as the FCRA, FDCPA, and TILA.
We do not guarantee the removal of any items from your credit report or any specific outcome. The success of a credit dispute depends on many factors, including the accuracy of the information you provide and the specific circumstances of your case. For legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.
4. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
5. User Responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information in your dispute letters
- Only dispute items on your own credit report (not on behalf of others, unless legally authorized)
- Use the Service in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws
- Not use the Service to submit fraudulent disputes or misrepresent information
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
6. Mailing Services and Payments
6.1 Certified Mail
The Service allows you to send dispute letters via USPS Certified Mail with Return Receipt. Letter pricing depends on your subscription tier: $15 per letter on the Free plan, $10 per letter on the Basic plan, and $5 per letter on the Pro plan. This covers printing, postage, certified mail fees, and return receipt. Once a letter has been submitted for mailing, it cannot be recalled or cancelled.
6.2 Subscriptions
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription plans are billed monthly through Whop. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Refunds for partial billing periods are not provided.
6.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Whop. By making a payment, you also agree to Whop's terms of service. We do not store your payment card information on our servers.
6.4 Refund Policy
Once a letter has been sent via USPS, the mailing fee is non-refundable, as the cost covers third-party printing and postage that cannot be recovered. If a letter fails to send due to a technical error on our end, we will either re-send the letter at no additional cost or issue a full refund at your request.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, software, templates, law database, and educational content, is owned by Credit Defender and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
Letters you generate using the Service are yours. You retain ownership of the content you create, including customized dispute letters.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Any dispute you file will be successful or result in removal of items from your credit report
- The information in our law database is complete or reflects the most recent legal changes
- Letters will be delivered by a specific date (delivery times depend on USPS)
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CREDIT DEFENDER AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Credit Defender from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a manner that could cause harm to us or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though we may retain certain data as required by law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
